Flexible Service combined with Flexible Compensation

Yes, we know the industry rule… we shouldn't present our compensation options yet. Well, this won’t likely be the only standard industry communication practice we consciously choose to ignore.

One of THWSG’s objectives is to establish an environment of open and honest communication with our Clients. And we apply this approach to our Prospect relationships as well.

No one can make intelligent decisions or develop appropriate expectations in a vacuum. You need information that is accessible and timely. We hope the following information assists you in your research.

Compensation Options

THWSG compensation arrangements are determined by our Clients and open to review at anytime upon Client request.

We work closely with Client management to arrive at fair and equitable compensation arrangements that may incorporate the following methodologies:

Commission Options

Benefit/HRIS management services are most typically compensated on a commission basis.

In the small to mid-size employer market, where group health & welfare plans are often fully-insured, compensation for our comprehensive benefit management services may be generated entirely through standard plan commissions that are derived and paid by Client carriers. These commissions are typically built into plan premiums, clearly documented via carrier commission schedules, and rarely excludable from carrier plan premiums. Employers are typically paying these dollars to carriers whether or not they are using a broker or consultant to assist with their benefit programs.

Clients with self-insured plans, or a combination of funding strategies, dictate whether or not commissions may be included in vendor administrative fees, as well as any related amounts.

THWSG is committed to full disclosure of all commission arrangements and resulting compensation. Complete disclosure applies to any fixed, contingent or incentive commission arrangement we are aware of. In the event THWSG receives undisclosed contingent or incentive commissions that are in any way related to a Client’s plan, such commissions will be clearly disclosed as soon as is reasonably feasible.

Fee for Service Options

Flat Fee
A set price may be negotiated for routine projects or advisory services. Fees are based on the scope of services, level of required expertise, time involved, and the predictability thereof.

Professional Hourly Rate (with or without cap)
THWSG can bill a professional, hourly rate, in no-less than 15-minute intervals, for provision of our consulting and advisory services. For fairly predictable projects, an hourly rate, up to a mutually agreed upon compensation cap, may also be arranged.

:Value Billing
A discounted hourly rate may be offered in combination with a negotiated bonus for successful achievement of a specific, measurable objective(s). Each component of a value billing arrangement must be determined in advance of the provision of related services.
